How we work

One team, from the board to the finished floor

  • We supply the boards

31 colours across five families, in widths from 190mm to 300mm.

  • We lay them ourselves

Direct stick specialists working to a 3mm over 3m subfloor tolerance, with moisture barrier adhesives and acoustic options.

  • We manage it end to end

We measure, check the subfloor, and set everything down in a written proposal.

Why French Oak Floors

What you get, plainly

  • 25 year warranty

Covering structural integrity, delamination and manufacturing defects.

  • In stock, not on a boat

Over 20,000m2 held here, against the usual 10 to 12 week wait.

  • Wide boards

    190mm, 220mm, 260mm and 300mm, with custom widths available.

  • Three patterns

    Straight lay, herringbone and chevron.

  • Samples to your home

See the boards in your own light before you decide.

  • Our own installers

Not subcontracted out to whoever is free that week.

Colour

31 colours, five families

Light, Natural, Mid Range, Grey and Dark. A screen cannot tell you what a board will look like at four in the afternoon in your living room, so we do not ask you to choose from one. We bring the samples to your home and you decide in your own light.

Patterns

Straight lay, herringbone and chevron

  • Straight lay oak flooring pattern

    Straight lay

The quietest of the three. Long boards running with the light, letting the grain and the room do the talking.

  • Herringbone oak flooring pattern

    Herringbone

Short boards set at right angles with a stepped centre seam. Formal, classic, and at its best in an entry or a dining room.

  • Chevron oak flooring pattern

    Chevron

Boards cut on an angle so they meet in one continuous seam down the room. A sharper, more contemporary line.
